Well, first let's have a little bit about myself.
I was born in a little valley town called Strasburg. I've lived here my life thus far, occasionally venturing forth into the world on vacation. On one such adventure (to Las Vegas), I met my beautiful and brilliant wife with whom I married in 2007.
By all accounts, I have been a programmer since 1997, when my high school Gifted And Talented Education teacher facilitated my recruitment into the staff of a local transportation and logistics industry consultant.
In her employ, I learned to make the Web sing her songs. However, simple HTML and Perl were eclipsed by a love for Object Oriented Programming. The day I learned the term I began to harbor a desire to use the technology in my day-to-day development.
In January of 2007 - nearly 10 years after beginning my career on the Web - I arrived. Today, I use Java to develop across all tiers. There are good days and bad days, but the good days outnumber the bad - isn't this what we are all striving for?
If you're interested, you can read about my trials and tribulations here in "Blog" - my weekly journal on the challenges of being a Java developer. From time to time I'll also be exploring the nature of OOP development and the ways in which it imitates life.

My inaugural post
Hello, world!
When else has that statement been so literal?
This post is in the interest of making sure I understand how this application works.
I'll post again soon.
Thanks for visiting.
